Sympatex exceeds the European waterproof and breathable values nearly 5 times over. It is also 100% windproof.

Also because  of the structure of sympatex it it does not clog up with dirt  which means that it maintains its performance fro many years. Maintaining its waterproof and breathable values.

This is important when sailing because you want to stay dry from the elements and also stay free from heat condensation inside your jacket.

It is also important to wear a breathable sailing base layer underneath your sailing jacket as this will help regulate  your body temperature and keep you comfortable.
