They have an extremely high breathable value and are ideal worn in combination with a breatahble base layer. These jackets are great technical piece for hill walking.

One is called the Nyons Jacket which is a dual purpose cycling and walking jacket and the other is called Omaha which is a dedicated walking jacket

Mid Weight Walking Jackets

We also sell a large range of mid weight technical walking jackets which are slightly heavier than our range of Ultra light weight jackets and have more pockets and  more functionality that the ultra light weight jackets as they are not designed to be ultra light . 3 in One Walking Jackets

We also stock a range of 3 in One jackets technical outdoor walking jackets . A 3 In  one jacket is an all season jacket as it comes with a fully integrated detachable fleece. It is called a 3 in one because the jacket can be worn with the fleece fully integrated in the winter , the fleece can be worn by itself and the outer jacket can be worn by itself as a light weight waterproof. Have you ever noticed when you go out walking that you are often taking off layers and then putting them back on again and you see a lot of other people doing this as well ? 

This is because it is essential to wear a breathable base layer underneath your jacket.

It does not matter how breathable your jacket is if you wear a non layer underneath you well get no benefits from the jacket.

You  need to consider wearing a good quality base layer to get the best performance out of your waterproof jacket.

In the autumn and winter, wear a winter insulating base layer such as the falun base layer within our base layer section ad in the spring and summer wear a summer base layer, Base layers will assist in regulating your body temerature and stop excess sweating.
